Glen Rose, Tx.

As the leaves start turning and the weather cools, the fun is still bubbling up across the DFW area! October is a fantastic time for outdoor fun, and I'm bringing my spectacular bubble events to fall festivals and school carnivals all over Dallas and Fort Worth. Don't miss out on grabbing one of our new 'Texas-Sized' Bubble Junior Kits, available now on the shop page, which are perfect for creating your own giant masterpieces right in your backyard. Check the calendar below for where I'll be next, and come experience the magic! Until next time…Keep on bubblin’

WHAT TO SEE

Glen Rose is a fantastic town! I grew up going to the famous Dinosaur Valley state park with my family as a fun day trip but never really got to explore the city until now. The state park is known for it’s diverse and excellently preserved dinosaur footprints that you can see in the river bed. Glen Rose has a growing population, a little over 3,000 people. It’s a charming small town community that has a tourist season in the summers. It’s great to visit in the fall with less crowds and great weather. This city is proud of it’s hospitality.

Another great park to stop at in town is Big Rocks Park. This is a great stop for those that can’t walk the trails at the larger parks.

What to do in town

Definitely check out Barnards Mill and Art Museum Barnards Mill

The Shoo-fly Soda Shop is a lot of fun Shoofly Soda Shop

It has a great menu and you can sit at the authentic bar that looks straight outta the 40’s. Great candy and novelty selection and a baseball throw away from Rhythm & co. Books where you can browse used books and there is always a puppy on site. Meet Apple!

LODGING

There is an army of Airbnb’s but for my money, you cant beat Inn on the River Inn On The River

It is right on the banks of the Paluxy River near Snyder’s Tavern. Speaking of Snyder’s, definitely check them out and get the California Club Grilled Cheese. Ask for the goat cheese on the side. (Chef’s kiss)

Until next time…Keep on bubblin’
